Chinatown the Original Trailer

Friday and the thoughts go to weekend entertainment. I love the gum shoe, noir genre and no movie does this better than Chinatown. Here's a trailer from 1974.

    What`s happened to movies? I mean Pirates Of The Caribbean was a number one movie a few years ago. Every four year old on the planet, thought it was the best movie ever made. Hollywood has given up on the over 12 demographic.
    A movie like Chinatown or the Deer Hunter, could never be produced in modern day Hollywood.

    Yes, they'll never make movies like that again. The pace is slow, you need to think. You have to take 2.5 hours, shut up, and concentrate. Impossible these days.
